I was certainly open to the idea, though we had to postpone the visit; I’ve been busier than ever lately. While I initially handled only the sales side of fabric labels, my role has evolved to resemble that of a factory manager.
I handle everything from the smallest details—like buying a trash can—to major tasks like recruiting technicians for our wash care labels production line.
Most of these tasks are new to me and incredibly tedious; I often feel dizzy from the daily rush. Yet, when I lie in bed at night and reflect on it all, I realize it’s actually a great learning experience that really hones my skills.
I’ve also taken over the purchasing of ink, a responsibility that used to belong to my mother. Without this hands-on experience, I never would have realized just how much there is to know about wash care labels ink. Different printing effects require specific ink formulations; if you don’t understand this and just buy whatever is available, even the most skilled technician won’t be able to achieve the desired results.
Timing is also crucial in procurement. Last Friday, a client placed an order for a new six-color clothing care labels. Since the size was uncommon, we only had three printing cylinders on hand—but the job required six.
I took charge of the task and immediately sent the purchase order to the supplier; their sales rep verbally promised to arrange it right away. However, when I followed up this Monday, I discovered their factory had simply forgotten to process the order.
It was a lesson in my own lack of experience. In the future, I’ll make sure to ask for the shipping tracking number immediately to prevent such oversights.
No matter how small the task, staying organized is key—and every action adds to my experience.
My greatest sense of accomplishment comes from successfully recruiting two key employees after more than two months of effort.
One is a technician with 20 years of experience in the wash care label industry.

I now find myself happily taking the initiative to handle factory affairs. The reason is practical: seeing my parents age, I know I will have to take over the business sooner or later.
